Gangs arrested for forcing runaway into cutting finger off

Busan Police arrested a group of gang members who threatened a runaway into cutting his own finger off.
It took place in a park in Gimhae, and they allegedly gave him the knife.
They insisted that he does it in front of everyone to show what the consequences of their futile attempt entails.
Beating him up with a baseball bat was an added means of coercion.
They were basically giving him a choice between a self-inflicted wound and a death by being beaten.
With fifths of a finger gone, he rushed to the hospital, but his finger is permanently damaged.
The police arrested two, and booked three others without detention.
