Gangnam brothels shut down

The system demands that all brothels within 200 meters of schools to voluntarily close down their businesses.The police shut down the largest scale prostitution establishment in the prosperous Gangnam area for the first time since the introduction of the “one strike system” in May.
The Seoul Gangnam Police announced they have closed down a ten-year long massage parlor offering prostitution services in Nonhyeon-dong.
The business, located 140 meters from a middle school, employed tens of female workers and had been running prostitution services over the past decade.
Police have tried to shut down the establishment seven times since 2010, but the parlor avoided the administrative measures just because it was not listed as a legitimate business.
