Man stealing co-workers' salary caught

The police arrested a man who snatched the salary of 100 co-workers via online transfer using a security card and a certificate.

Shin, 24, a technical manager at an insurance company, sent 495 million won ($445,000) from the company account to his own.

He used three separate accounts and withdrew all of the money in 50,000 won-denominated bills.

When he was caught near the Goyang district in Gyeonggi Province, he denied the charges at first, but after the fingerprints matched, he admitted to his crime, police said.

He had debts of 50 million won ($44 000), and he spent some of the cash to pay off the debt, rent, and spent some on entertainment, according to the police.
