An online community site posted an article: ”How to hook up with girls.” It said the best way is to get them drunk and take them to motels.
It’s all fun and game till it’s not. Many incidents got nasty. It bordered sexual harassment. Some cases turned into date rape.
Female students feel harassed and disgusted. “It is no doubt an offence but men don’t take it seriously. That’s the problem,” said a 22-year-old Lee.
The Sexual Harassment Counseling Center estimated that many women are violated but are ashamed to report such incidents.
“Men always say ’I didn’t know’ or ‘It was a friendly joke’ or ‘Women are too uptight,’ this is the reality we have to readdress,” said Kim Doo-na, a counselor from the center.
