Bo-eun leads the digital content team. She has covered foreign affairs, North Korea, tech, economy and gender issues at The Korea Times. She did a short stint at the South China Morning Post in Hong Kong, where she obtained a new perspective on news production and life. Small sources of joy for her are lounging in the sun, having a good latte and swimming.
'Happy doctor' dies at 67

Hwang Soo-kwan, a Yonsei University professor who advised people on how to live a healthy and happy life on various TV shows, died of blood poisoning Sunday. He was 67.
The professor was taken to hospital Dec. 12 after he showed difficulty breathing at his home in Gunpo, Gyeonggi Province.
Hwang died of acute blood poisoning at Gangnam Severance Hospital in southern Seoul.
Hwang was born Aug. 30, 1945 in Japan, and spent his childhood in Gyeongju in North Gyeongsang Province. He obtained his doctoral degree in physiology at Kookmin University.
He has served as a physiology professor at Yonsei University and wrote some 100 theses about exercising and health.
Hwang became widely known through his appearances on health-related TV shows and bestselling books on happiness and health.
His mortal remains have been set up at the Yonsei Funeral Hall in Sinchon, northwestern Seoul and he will be buried Wednesday. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son.
