By Kim Bo-eun

Musical director Kolleen Park’s older sister was recently arrested on charges of murdering an aspiring Hollywood actress and model, according to American media.

American broadcaster CBS reported Tuesday (local time) that U.S. prosecutors released new documents regarding the case involving the 2008 murder of actress-model Julia Redding saying Kelly Soo Park, assumed by Korean media to be Kolleen’s sister, and her ex-boyfriend worked for wealthy doctor and businessman Munir Uwaydah in the murder plot.

According to the report, prosecutors said Uwaydah assigned a string of assignments to Park and her ex-boyfriend, race car driver Ronnie Case, which included intimidating and threatening Redding.

Prosecutors claimed Park committed other distinctive acts of misconduct against similar victims under similar circumstances which exhibit common features of threats, intimidation and bullying for the purpose of assisting Uwaydah’s business interests, CBS reported.

Park has pleaded not guilty and no trial date has been set.

Kolleen Park was born in the United States to a Korean father and Lithuanian-American mother. Having majored in cello and studied traditional Korean music, the 45-year-old has an established career in the field of music and has received numerous awards. She is also currently a judge on the Korean television show “Korea’s Got Talent.”

Park is known to have two sisters named Kim and Kelly.
