N. Korea warns against ROK-US joint military drill
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un warned South Korea and the United States, Sunday, over the ongoing 12-day joint military drill, Ulchi Freedom Guardian.
The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said Kim signed an order for a “battle to an allout counter-offensive,” threatening “there is a limit to our patience.” “South Korea and U.S are aiming large-scale war drills, targeting North Korea, which makes North Korea’s troops wait for orders,” he reportedly said.
North Korea’s leader also made a visit to an artillery unit near the tense western sea border. The unit was responsible for the bombardment of South Korea’s Yeonpyeong Island in 2010.
