We love you Michael Jackson: Flashmob in Busan

Hundreds of people gathered to remember the late U.S. pop legend Michael Jackson, Saturday.

Shinsegae’s Centum City Department Store in Haeundae, eastern Busan, held a large scale “flashmob” event to cherish the memory of Jackson, who died on June 25, 2009. A flashmob is a group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place to perform an arranged action then disperse quickly, often for entertainment.

The group reenacted one of Jackson's biggest hits “Thriller,” in which Jackson leads other actors costumed as zombies in a choreographed dance routine.

The team was made up of about 500 individuals such as local students, but 500 more citizens joined them later on.

The department store will donate 1,000 won per participant to Good Neighbors, a world-renowned international welfare body, which will be used for Korean children.
