Worst male and female behaviors on blind dates
Conversation determines the outcome of a blind date, reveals the survey conducted by a social dating network, Echu (www.echu.co.kr).
The survey asked 1,812 singles (972 male, 849 female) who are 20 years-old or over to pick their least favorite behavior of a blind date companion. Although men and women gave different answers, they both agreed that the worst types of behavior involve conversational mistakes.
According to Echu, 41.5 percent of men replied that the most unseemly behavior during a blind date is giving short answers and expecting the other side to provide the material of the conversation. This was followed by pretentiousness with 13.8 percent and haughtiness with 12.8 percent of the answers.
Similarly, women disliked pretentious behavior, which came in first with 29%, and wanted to avoid men who give short answers, 12.6 percent.
However, those on blind dates should be careful not to fill in the gaps of a conversation with compliments, shows another Echu survey that asked 1,279 singles aged 20 or more.
Among the participants of the survey, 43 percent of them replied that too many compliments make them suspicious of their dates’ hidden motives.
