’Security comes with reduction of nukes’

South Africa acknowledges the significance of the upcoming nuclear security summit in Seoul to raise global awareness on nuclear security. But it said what should not be diminished in the meeting is the more important goal of eliminating all weapons of mass destruction, not just nuclear weapons, in “a verifiable and irreversible manner.”

“South Africa is fully committed to the achievement of a world free from all weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear weapons,” Hilton A. Dennis, South African ambassador to South Korea, told The Korea Times at his Seoul office,
