Lee to hold press conference next week
President Lee Myung-bak will hold a press conference next week to mark the fourth anniversary of his inauguration and outline policies for his final year in office, his spokesman said Tuesday.
Lee is expected to speak about his feelings and pledges in the final year of his presidency, and ways to overcome difficulties the country is facing. This will include business opportunities he saw during last week's trip to the Middle East, next month's Nuclear Security Summit in Seoul and other issues, presidential spokesman Park Jeong-ha said.
By law, Lee cannot seek reelection after his five-year term.
Lee is also reportedly considering offering an apology over a series of corruption scandals involving aides. (Yonhap)
