Gangnam recruits foreign publicity ambassadors
By Kim Rahn
Foreigners are invited to become honorary publicity ambassadors for Gangnam District. The district office said Tuesday it is recruiting 100 expats to promote the southern Seoul region internationally in addition to the 100 who were appointed last year.
The publicity ambassadors will be given the chance to visit Gangnam’s tourist attractions and will be invited to various events and exhibitions in the district.
After such activities, they will be required to introduce the attractions and events to people in their home countries or other nations through email, blogs, Twitter, Facebook and other social networking services.
They will also be encouraged to contribute articles for the district’s newspaper for a fee.
Publicity ambassador hopefuls can register on the Yeoksam Global Village Center’s website, https://global.seoul.go.kr/yeoksam, by the end of this month. More details are available by visiting the website or calling the center at 02-3453-9038.
