Aspiring model found dead

By Kim Rahn

An aspiring fashion model was found dead in a farming waterway in Incheon Tuesday, eight days after going missing.

The 19-year-old, identified only as Park, left a hotel club in southern Seoul at around 5:30 a.m. on Oct. 2, police said.

It was confirmed she took a taxi. She had been out of contact since and her parents reported her missing to police on Oct. 6, police said.

A telecom company worker who was checking cables near the waterway found Park’s body. She had been strangled with stockings and her hands were bound with rope, according to police.

“She was very drunk and left her cell phone and purse at the club,” a police officer said.

They asked the National Forensic Service to perform an autopsy to find out the exact cause of death.
