Lee Jong-seung named vice chairman of Hankook Ilbo

The Hankook Ilbo, a sister paper of The Korea Times, appointed president-publisher Lee Jong-seung as vice chairman and Park Jin-yeol, president- publisher of the Sports Hankook, to succeed Lee, at a board of directors meeting in Seoul Friday.

The firm also named Lee Sang-seok, vice president of the Hankook Ilbo, to concurrently serve as chief executive officer.

Lee Jong-seung became president- publisher of the Hankook Ilbo in 2004, after working as managing editor and presidentpublisher of the Seoul Economic Daily.

Park served as presidentpublisher of the Sports Hankook since 2007. At the Hankook Ilbo, he worked as city editor, chief of the business strategy department and managing editor.

Lee Sang-seok, a former managing editor of The Korea Times, has served as vice president of the Hankook Ilbo since 2008.
