Kyung Hee wrongly informs applicants of admission

Kyung Hee University mistakenly informed 20 applicants that they had been admitted to the school and revoked the notices later, triggering confusion and complaints from the candidates.
The university wrongly announced Friday evening that the 20 applicants, who had initially failed to make the grade on the school’s rolling admissions, were told they had been successful in the additional recruitment program. The school blamed a malfunction in its online system for the error.
The admissions department officials called the applicants to inform them of the situation and apologize for the mistake.
“We immediately corrected the errors and there was no further confusion,” a school official said.
