Woman Who Got 1,000 Proposals

Terri Carlson hopes to tie the knot in order to cash in on her new hubby's health insurance. Carlson was a stay-at-home mother to four kids for 24 years after getting divorced. But the 45-year-old divorced California mom had 1,000 proposals in one week, and she's still counting.

Carlson suffers from C4 complement deficiency, an autoimmune disease that prevents her system from being able to fight infections. In addition, she cannot even get healthcare insurance and lacks the number of years in the workforce to be supported by a government-assistant program.

So last week, Carlson launched ``Will Marry for Health Insurance,'' a Web site in which she lets it be known she's searching for a hubby via YouTube. Though she professes to want love, she wants the insurance even more.

"I don't care what you look like," she says into the Web cam. "But what I do care about is how good your health insurance is. So, you want me to respond to you? Attach your health care benefit information."

Though Carlson hasn't yet figured out how she is going to meet all the men who have contacted her, she said she's sifting through all the responses and wants to get back to everyone.

그래서 칼슨은 지난주 유튜브를 통해 "보험 때문에 신랑감을 구한다"는 광고를 냈다. 그녀는 사랑을 원한다고 선언하고 있지만, 보험을 더욱 원하는 게 분명하다.

"외모는 상관없다. 나를 원한다면 보험 정보를 첨부하라" 고 말하는 칼슨은 그 많은 남성들을 어떻게 만날지에 대해서는 아직 정하지 못했다고 한다.
