Man Runs Into Sea to Avoid Field Sobriety Test
A drunken man ran into the sea in order to avoid a field sobriety test by police. According to Mokpo Police Agency in the southwest port city, South Jeolla Province, the 30-year-old man encountered police late Monday after heavily drinking liquor and police requested him to take the test.
However, the man, identified only by his surname Choi, refused and pushed the officers aside, running into the sea. Police said they were about to arrest him due to his repeated refusal to take the test. Choi was rescued by firemen five minutes later and sent to a nearby hospital. He is not in critical condition but police said his driver's license has been canceled.
