Wife Pours Boiling Oil on Husband

A 33-year-old woman has been accused of attempted murder after allegedly pouring boiling cooking oil onto her sleeping husband, severely burning him.
According to the Busan Haeundae Police Station on Thursday, the wife boiled the oil and poured it onto the head and chest of her husband, 33, who was sleeping on a sofa at home. It caused injuries that will take 12 weeks to heal.
``She was being treated for depression and suspected her husband of adultery, so she tried to kill him,'' a police officer said.
Police apprehended the suspect hiding at her sister's house and will seek an arrest warrant after securing evidence and the husband's statement, they said.
