Korean Injured in Bombing

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Sunday strongly denounced a deadly truck bombing at a hotel in Islamabad in which a South Korean was slightly injured.

The bombing Saturday evening killed at least 60 people and badly injured 200 others, Yonhap News Agency reported.

In a statement, the ministry said, ``Acts of terror are barbaric and anti-humanitarian. They cannot be tolerated under any circumstances.''

The South Korean who had been dining at the hotel during the bombing suffered scratches but is almost fully recovered, a ministry official said.

He was on a business trip to Pakistan, and no more Koreans have been found hurt, he said.

Nearly 1,300 people have been killed this year alone in a wave of militant violence across Pakistan, the report said.
