The Supreme Court upheld a lower court’s ruling that convicted a movie company president for arranging sex between two foreign investors and two Korean women. The top court upheld the high court’s decision sentencing the accused, identified only as Kim, 37, to an 18-month prison term suspended for two years on charges of arranging the meeting.

In June, 2004, Kim was asked by a Kangwon Land official, identified only as Park, to introduce two women to provide sexual favors to two foreign investors in exchange for the provision of funds for movie making. Kangwon Land was trying to attract investment from the foreign investors.

Kim provided 40 million won ($ 40,000) to two women using part of the 500 million he received as subsidies for moving making from Gangwon Province government. Kim is also charged with embezzlement of nearly 70 million won of the subsidies.
