HAFS Students Win Debate Competition

A team from Hankuk Academy of Foreign Studies (HAFS) won the grand prize at the fourth Korea High School Debate Competition hosted by The Korea Times.

They are Lee Moon-yeol, Yang Jung-hwan and Yoo Min-jae studying at the school in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province. The three students have now qualified to take part in a world debate competition.

Organized by The Korea Times, the competition invited 153 students in 51 teams from 15 elite schools including Seoul International School, CheongShim International Academy and Korean Minjok Leadership Academy.

The winners will take part in the World School Debate Championship (WSDC), scheduled for August in Washington D.C.
