Fishermen missing From Sunken Ship
Ten fishermen were reported missing Wednesday after their ship sank in seas off the country's southernmost island.
The 136-ton fishing vessel 102 Soyang sank around 6 p.m. about 65 kilometers southwest of Mara Island, leaving 10 crewmembers missing following the rescue of three of their shipmates, the maritime police said.
Fishermen from a nearby ship, which reported the sinking to the maritime police, rescued the three including the captain.
Eight rescue boats were dispatched to the site but rescuers had difficulty searching for the missing men due to strong wind and high waves.
