Ghanaian Amb. Dies at 64

Ghanaian Ambassador to Seoul Kwadowo Afoakwa Sarpong died at the Asan Medical Center in Pungnap-dong, Seoul, Thursday, according to the Embassy of Ghana in Seoul. He was 64.
The ambassador had been hospitalized in intensive care for several months before passing away.
The embassy began receiving guests to offer their condolences, Friday. People can visit the embassy to express their condolences from 10 a.m. to noon and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.
Sarpong's body will be transferred to his country soon.
Ghanaian President John Kufuor had appointed Sarpong as Ghanaian ambassador to Seoul in mid-2006 in order to promote economic relations, considering his experience as an international businessman.
He had worked in international business for 31 years, before becoming the ambassador.
