Court Rules Pro-Government Party Must Change Name
A district court in Seoul Monday accepted a provisional disposition, issued by the minor opposition Democratic Party (DP), banning the pro-government United New Democratic Party (UNDP) from using its name.
The DP argued that the UNDP had modeled its name after the DP's name and the names were similar enough for people to be confused by them.
If the ruling is upheld on appeal, the UNDP will have to change its name.
