Experience luxury stay at InterContinental Seoul COEX

Located at the center of the trend-setting entertainment and business district in southern Seoul, InterContinental Seoul COEX holds a reputation for its stylish facilities, quality service and successful hosting of international events such as the G20 Seoul Summit.

The hotel is committed to achieving sustainable growth as a global leading hotel by strengthening its premium brand image.

It is part of the World Trade Center complex, with convenient direct access to business locations like the ASEM Tower and City Air Terminal which provides immigration service, luggage check-in and transportation to the airport. Entertainment and shopping facilities such as the COEX Mall and the Hyundai Department Store are in the vicinity, gaining popularity among young executives and businesspeople.

The basic concept of the interior is simple and modern, using metal and glass with marble-looking granite. The lobby, guest rooms and the banquet area display many minimalism paintings and other art pieces. To give guests examples of Korean culture, all rooms are decorated with contemporary Korean artwork.

The hotel’s 652 guest rooms are equipped with the latest technology, including high-speed Internet connection, wireless Internet, two-line speaker phones with data ports, separate lines for fax or modem hook-ups, and voicemail. They are also furnished with the finest fabrics and deluxe guest amenities. Elegant marble bathrooms include a deep soaking tub, separate shower booth and vanity.

InterContinental Seoul COEX began extensive renovations last September. Five small and medium-sized functions rooms as well as the Harmony Ballroom designed to hold up to 600 people have been completely renovated with an LED lighting system in an “urban natural concept.”

On the second floor is the Club InterContinental, a new business lounge which opened in January. Introducing a new level of business environment, this stylish lounge was designed by the world-renowned design firm Chhada Siembieda Australia.

As an industry leader, the hotel was certified as an eco-friendly hotel by the Ministry of Environment and the Korea Environmental Industry and Technology Institute this year. It also received a silver level certification from the environment benchmarking program “EarthCheck.”

The hotel has been awarded the first prize in the Korean Standard-Service Quality Index (KS-SQI) five times in the hotel industry category. It also won the first prize in the hospitality business division of the 2010 National Customers Satisfaction Index (NCSI) in 2010 for the fifth consecutive year. Also for five years in a row from 2006 to 2010, it received a full mark for its food safety management system HACCP by JDC International FSMS Audit Protocol.

Along with the hotel’s commitment for corporate social responsibility, HACCP and environmental protection, InterContinental Seoul COEX promises to continue to deliver excellent service that exceeds guests’ expectations.
