Lotte Hotel expanding globally

Located in the heart of the capital, the hotel has long hosted numerous governmental, business, cultural, social and other events, while accommodating state-leaders, corporate CEOs and celebrities. Momoyama, the prestigious Japanese diner with a vast sake collection, the Michelin threestar- chef’s signature restaurant Pierre Gagnaire a seoul and the renovation of 700 rooms wowed guests from inside and outside Korea.
The Lady’s Floor is one of the most innovative items that put the hotel on the international map. Only ladies are given access, and all amenities, services as well as other perks are designed for women only. The large dressing rooms, femalefriendly fabrics as well as little decorations are now hailed by many women dreaming of a place for their own.
Under the motto of “Lotte, the World’s Best Hotel,” the mother group Lotte has pushed ahead in several sectors further than its competitors by diversifying its guests and associates, renovating its facilities, enhancing service quality, strengthening the competitiveness of wedding as well as food and beverage outlets, and activating a group infrastructure.
Global expansion
Lotte Hotel, the first and largest indigenous hotel franchise in Korea, has now gone a step further following the opening of a branch in Moscow, the heart of Russia on June 15.
The hotel with 266 rooms and 38 suites alongside French restaurant Les Menus par pierre Gagnaire, Japanese restaurant Megu and a lounge bar, is the first Asian franchise to open in the Russian capital.
The hotel is part of the Lotte Complex comprising the Lotte Department Store, Lotte Hotel and Lotte office area. The Russian government has been more than keen to inspect the Koreanstyle hospitality and its knowhow, the hotel said through a press release.
“Last year, the global economic meltdown gave many countries some setbacks and led many companies to pull out their projects scheduled in Russia.
However, Lotte found great business potential in the country as well as the goal to forge ties between the two nations.
In Moscow, there is always demand for high-end services and luxury but the supply has not quite met demand number.
Lotte has focused its services on providing “jeong” (familiarity, love and kindness).
While many Western-style hospitality focuses on “giving,” the “jeong” service focuses on understanding individuals and focusing on the originality of each person. “That is something that will distinguish Lotte from the others,” the group said in a press release.
Lotte hotel is also planning to open a hotel-style condominium in Buyeo, North Chungcheong Province in August with a water park, karaoke and coin laundry machines among others. A resort complex is planned in Seogwipo on Jeju Island and the premium business hotel line “Lotte City Hotel” will be launched in Jeju city, Gimpo Airport and Seocho.
In 2014, the new Lotte World in Jamsil, southern Seoul, will accommodate another high-end hotel to open a new era of its hotel business in Korea.
Moreover, the group is planning to open five-star hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam in 2013, and Shenyang, China in 2014. Other countries are also likely candidates to host a hotel.
