The Westin Chosun Seoul's Vecchia e Nuovo wine shop is holding a special promotion till May 30 to celebrate its second anniversary. Over 100 wines, including old vintages from the 1960s and 70s in the cellar are on sale.
The world famous wine with its angel label, Montes Alpha, is one of the featured items ― about 1,000 bottles are available at the remarkably low price of 30,000 won.
Dom Perignon 2000 will be sold for 160,000 won; Pommery, Brut Royal at 77,000 won; and Chateau Talbot 2005 at 111,000 won among others. Ten percent tax will be added to the price.
The hotel plans to hold a "Buy One Get One Free" event for some selected wines.

The W Seoul-Walkerhill
The W Seoul-Walkerhill launches "W Sizzle" on Fridays and Saturdays till June 12.
W Sizzle is part of the W YUM Event series, events attracting popularity with their gourmet and fresh seasonal foods.
BBQ menus include fresh salmon, bass, king prawn, juicy beef rib eye, sirloin and tenderloin steaks, Moroccan spice lamb rib grill, and freshly grilled sausages. W Sizzle's extensive menu also includes smoked duck breast salad, Caesar salad with chicken and cheese, crab salad with mango and cucumber, and various desserts presented in a buffet style.
The event lasts from 7p.m. to 10 p.m. The BBQ buffet which includes unlimited beer and wine costs 90,000 won for adults and 45,000 won for children, exclusive of tax.

The Novotel Ambassador Gangnam
The Novotel Ambassador Gangnam will hold a "South African Wine Festival" from June 11 to July 31 to mark the 2010 World Cup.
It features six selected official wines for the World Cup at special prices available in the European restaurant "The Bistro," buffet restaurant "Festival," Japanese super dining "SHUNMI" and the Lobby Lounge. The selection of wines include the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon, four choices of Nederberg red wine and two choices of white wine all priced between 60,000 won and 80,000 won, with tax excluded.
An order of the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon will also provide a 100 percent-winning scratch lottery ticket for various supporting accessories including an official soccer ball for the World Cup, a red T-Shirt, a red Towel, a head band and more.

The Lotte Hotel Seoul
The Lotte Hotel Seoul has opened the "Amazing Makgeoli Bar" for the Korean traditional wine at its pub, Bobby London.
The 20-seated bar is decorated with Korean cultural landscapes from the Joseon Kingdom (1392-1910). Wine sommeliers and chefs have been searching for the best Makgeoli nationwide, the hotel said in a press release.
Makgeoli that tastes of sweet soya bean; red sweet potato, strawberry, banana, melon and red berries are on offer from 15,000 won per bottle, exclusive of tax.
Fried Kimchi with tofu; fried octopus with noodles; and seafood pancakes among other dishes will be presented at a price of 10,000 won, exclusive of tax.

The Sky Lounge on the 30th floor of the COEX InterContinental Seoul is holding a "Fresh Live Lobsters" promotion.
The lobster cuisines include oven-roasted lobster with tomato mushroom ragout and seafood bouillabaisse with 1/2 lobster and steamed vegetables. There is a surf and turf menu featuring a grilled 1/2 lobster and Wagyu beef tenderloin.
A lobster dish that is made with champagne cream sauce and butter flavors is also featured, along with cream cheese topped grilled lobster and roasted vegetables which is served on an artfully decorated plate to please the customers' eyes.
The lobster specialty dinner menus at Sky Lounge are offered at 65,000 won to 110,000 won, with tax excluded.
