Seoul Plaza Hotel
Starting May 3, 2010, the Seoul Plaza Hotel will undergo comprehensive renovations to transform into the first "boutique business hotel" among the domestic five star hotels.
This renovation project will be the largest of its kind in scale to encompass the whole exterior of the hotel building, all guestrooms, public spaces including the restaurants and bars (Chinese and Japanese restaurants, a lounge, and a pub) and the hotel lobby. The comprehensive renovation will cost approximately 70 billion won, and last approximately six months from May 3, 2010 till October 31, 2010.
For the hotel's exterior, bronze-colored metal will be used as a finishing material to create a warm atmosphere in the crowded city center, highlighting the prestigious image of the hotel. In order to provide upgraded guestrooms, the hotel will add more Suite-level rooms, while reducing the total number of guest rooms from the current 445 to 400 rooms.
For the successful rebirth as the first boutique business hotel in Korea, the entire facilities of the Seoul Plaza Hotel will be closed for six months, excluding the Grand Ballroom and Plaza Spa Club in the annex building.
The hotel will reopen on November 1.
Lotte Hotel Seoul
For Secretary's Day celebrations, on April 21, Lotte Hotel Seoul is holding a weeklong event at two of its restaurants― VINE, Peninsula, and Toh Lim― from April 18 to 24. They will offer a ``Special Set Menu for Boss & Secretary'' for either lunch or dinner. Every female guest ordering this special menu during the Secretary's Week festival will receive an RMK cosmetic gift set worth 55,000 won.

The Westin Chosun Seoul
The Westin Chosun Seoul's buffet restaurant, Bizbaz, at COEX presents an "Indian Cuisine Promotion" until April 28, offering authentic Indian cuisines prepared by Chef Jagmohan Singh.
Singh will introduce 20 different dishes, including two types of Indian Naan bread; three kinds of curry with beef, lamb and chicken each; Indian fried dumpling "Samosa"; spinach soup; "Raita" fruit salad with herb yogurt sauce, Tandoori chicken and a "Bombay potato dish" seasoned with curry.
Bizbaz will give away a specially designed, children's BMW to a lucky mother visiting the restaurant for Children's Day, May 5. The children's BMW can be driven by one child and it can run up to 8km/h in battery power. The first prize M6 replicates the actual M6 model.
The meals are priced at 43,636 won for lunch and 52,727 won for dinner, exclusive of tax.

The Grand Hyatt Seoul
The Grand Hyatt Seoul's Japanese restaurant Akasaka is presenting a "Spring Lunch Menu" for the month of April.
The set menu starts with simmered fish roe and vegetables in the shape of a blossom to denote the season of spring, followed by egg custard and sea bream and Kanpachi sashimi. Sea bream is laden with roe this time of year and is rich in fat, making its flesh tender and sweet. The Akagao-ark shell, deep fried Otakii with Bamboo Shoots and Tempura sauce, broiled spiny mackerel with special miso soup, and chirachi Sushi are also part of the set. Finally, clam and sesame tofu soup and a fresh fruit dessert will be served.
The promotion is available throughout April and the meal is priced at 65,000 won, exclusive of tax.

The Imperial Palace Hotel
The Imperial Palace Hotel is holding a ``BBQ Festival'' till the end of May at its caf? Amiga and buffet restaurant Familia.
Guests can enjoy an unlimited amount of barbecued beef, lamb or pork ribs and chicken. Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and 14 other kinds of wine as well as 70 microbiotic side dishes will be presented, too.
The menu is priced from 44,000 won for lunch and 62,000 won for dinner at Amiga. At Familia, the price is set at 58,000 won for lunch and 67,000 won for dinner.
