The Grand Hilton Seoul

The Grand Hilton Seoul's Chinese restaurant, Yeohyang, will present new season leeks, a healthy and delicious component of traditional Chinese cuisine. The special dishes, available for lunch and dinner, are sauteed Chinese chives with jellyfish, sauteed Chinese chives with shrimp and sauteed Chinese chives with abalone. The set menu also features a new dish, "Buldojang," which includes a variety of seafood such as shark's fin, abalone and sea cucumber, known to be good for the eyes and skin.

The promotion is available through Jan. 1 to Feb 28.

The price starts from 15,000 won for a la carte dishes and 110,000 won for set menus, exclusive of tax.

Imperial Palace Hotel

The Imperial Palace Hotel's Japanese restaurant, Manyo, presents "Osechi Bento," traditional Japanese cuisine for New Year's Day.

Dishes are comprised of lobsters, Namas sushi, eel, smoked duck, chicken, umeboshi, beans, shrimps and 22 other delicacies symbolizing longevity, prosper, wisdom and other health benefits. The bento is priced at 65,000 won, exclusive of tax.

At the hotel's Chinese restaurant, Chunsan, guests will be given a red envelope with 8 yuan in it to wish them good luck.

Westin Chosun Seoul

The Westin Chosun Seoul's Japanese restaurant, Sushi Cho, presents "Live Oden" with homemade oden and soup every weekend. Homemade oden and sushi are available on weekend set menus at 60,000 and 80,000 won, respectively, for lunch and 100,000 and 120,000 won for dinner.

"Oden" is one of the most popular winter foods made with dried tuna and kelp, seasoned with soy sauce and boiled with kamaboko made of pureed white fish, radish, konjac and eggs. Guests can choose their favorite ingredients for oden.

The weekend set menus also include boiled globefish salad, oyster salad with yuzu sauce, shirako steak, hamaguri (clam) with fermented tuna sauce and sweet red bean porridge as well as homemade oden.

Warm sake is prepared in tokkuri for 24,000 won and 26,000 won to complement Sushi Cho's homemade oden.

The promotion is available by the end of February and all prices are exclusive of tax.

JW Marriott Seoul

The JW Marriott Seoul's JW's Grill holds a special event, where guests can enjoy the chef's set menu discounted by 50 percent, through Feb. 28. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. every day.

If guests order one of the a la carte entrees featured in the promotion, one king crab starter such as the king crab salad or a king crab cocktail will be offered on the house. Also the chef's four-course set menu will be offered at half the normal rate ― the chef's set menu is usually 90,000 won but during this special timeline, it is on offer at 45,000 won.

Various a la carte items, including crab cocktail, marinated crab legs, Singaporean-style chili crab, king crab Newburg puff and many more are offered.

The Alaskan king crab chef's set menu is priced at 90,000 won and a la carte dishes range from 13,000 won to 55,000 won. Offered from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., the chef's set menu is priced at 45,000 won. All prices are exclusive of tax.

Cornerstone, the Park Hyatt Seoul's main restaurant, will (also) present "Weekend Desserts" every weekend afternoon in January. The "Weekend Desserts" features a table full of mini savories and delicacies, including ham croissants and smoked salmon croque monsieur, Lavoche bread with camembert cheese, homemade ice-cream sundaes, fresh oven-baked scones, cakes, macaroons, tarts, cookies and chocolates," ideal for a late lunch. The dishes are served with freshly squeezed juices, smoothies, premium coffee or organic tea to complement the endless array of sweets and delicacies.

The package is priced at 25,000 won, exclusive of tax, and is available from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
