Busan Int’l Tea and Craft Fair to Open

A hit the first time it opened, an international tea and craft fair is expected to be even more successful the second time around. The 2nd International Tea and Craft Fair will take place in the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center Nov. 8~11, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. the fair is organized by The Korea Times and Busan International Tea & Craft Organizing Committee and managed by BEXCO and MESSE Korea. Admission fees are $3, and $2 for groups over 25 people.

Over 150 domestic and overseas companies and 500 tea-related associations are expected to take part while about 50,000 visitors are anticipated.

A number of cities known for their tea heritage and handicrafts will also participate including Icheon, Hadong, Damyang and of course Busan. Cultural exchanges with China, Japan, Taiwan and others that will help globalize Korean tea culture are planned during the festival.

Various tea products and ingredients, crafts, and tea packaging will be on display. Tea houses, retailers, and green tea pizza, ice cream and roasted meat will be available. Traditional tea ceremonies, a tea music concert, exhibitions, seminars and lectures serve as an alternate form of entertainment.
