Imperial Creates European Atmosphere
The Imperial Palace Hotel located in the heart of southern Seoul aims to be a European style hotel with dignity and culture under the motto of ``The Best of Everything.''
Of its 430 guestrooms, 35 rooms are suites of which 16 are multi-floored rooms suitable for various parties. There are also 12 spa rooms decorated with marble and Korean traditional floors.
In addition to its grand interior with European style antiquity, it also has strength as a business hotel with its information technology service.
Forty-two inch liquid crystal display (LCD) or plasma display panel (PDP) televisions are also provided, along with a high-speed and wireless Internet services.
There is also a business center with an LCD projector and a 100-inch high-resolution screen enhances business guest's convenience.
There are PDPs installed in the hotel's lobby, banquet hall, reservation office, front desk and restaurants. An interactive system in the lobby offers up-to-date information service.
Various entertainment facilities such as ``Zoe,'' a New York style lounge bar; a membership bar with cigar shop; private rooms and modern equipped karaoke rooms.
Other facilities include an outdoor pool is the only one right in the heard in southern Seoul; a fitness club with the latest facilities; Club Imperial Lounge, which adopts the style of a traditional royal house and boasts romantic views over the city.
In 2006, Imperial Palace Hotel was designated as the best business hotel in Asia at the ``Travel Choice Awards 2006'' selected by Time Asia Magazine, the first time for a domestic hotel.
Following the prize, the hotel had a groundbreaking ceremony for the Imperial Palace Cebu Resort in Maktan, Cebu in July of 2006.
The Imperial Palace Cebu Resort is being constructed by the BXT Corporation from the Philippines and is scheduled to be completed in December 2008.
It will have 15 stories and 607 guest rooms including 163 general guestrooms, 397 condominium type rooms and 47 pool villas.
The Imperial Palace Hotel was established with domestic capital and was reborn in May 2005 after a three years of construction to expand its facilities with an investment of about 100 billion won.
In particular, it declared its hopes of aiming to become ``a world-class hotel'' by changing its name from Amiga to the Imperial Palace Hotel.
The Imperial Palace Hotel has hosted various events and offers substantial packages such as the introduction of the ``Escape the Summer Heat Package'' for a cool summer from June 15 to Sept. 16 this year.
The summer package is designed for holidays in the heart of the city and includes various outdoor benefits such as free admission to its outdoor pool, pool side barbeque buffet and unlimited beer on the garden terrace.
