Deloitte Anjin said Tuesday that it appointed former government tax officer Cho Kyu-bum as its principal to provide more specialized tax services to its clients.
Cho, 52, led the tax policy department of the OECD/Korea Policy Center, before joining the local affiliate of the global professional service company. He started his career at the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, and spent most of his career in the tax bureau of the ministry.
“Principal Cho Kyu-bum has both professional and communication skills, being elected as the best boss for two years in a row at the Ministry of Strategy and Finance. We are sure that he will contribute to our company in tax advisory as well as other fields of business,” the company said in a statement.
Cho studied international economics at Seoul National University, and holds a masters’ degree from the University of Birmingham in the U.K.
