Macoll Consulting Group opened a Jeju branch in Nohyeong-dong, Jeju City, and started business Monday, the group said.
The group provides specialized communication consulting services in the Jeju Free International City.
The branch will offer locally optimized service in policy and regulations, risk management and other areas for the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, relevant government authorities, and domestic and foreign companies.
“As more foreign-invested companies extend their businesses on Jeju Island, their communication with the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and local communities becomes more important. Especially on Jeju Island, it is necessary to communicate considering the distinct characteristics of the area,” Lee Yun-hee, the group CEO, said.
“For the success of foreign firms, locally customized communication services should be quickly provided at the right time. I expect that our services contribute to the mutual benefit and development between companies and the province,” she added.
Since its founding in June 2000, Macoll Consulting Group has pioneered a new market of communication consulting services with risk management, policy and regulation consulting, mergers and acquisitions and litigation communications.
The group consists of four companies, including Macoll Communication Consulting (www.macoll.com), specializing in risk evaluation and risk management; and Fipra Korea (www.fipra.com), focused on policy and regulation consulting.
It also runs Macoll Litigation Communications, concentrating in litigation communications; and Health Communications, which provides public relations services for the healthcare industry.
The group established MARS Lab as its affiliated research center and has devoted itself to developing new communication models through academic-industrial cooperation with major universities.
Also, with its Social Contribution Committee, the group has made a proactive effort in voluntary service for society. Its clients range from major industry associations to global companies. About 120 people work at its main office at the International Finance Center in Yeouido, Seoul.
