Sungshin President Acknowledged by Ballet Association
Sungshin Women's University President Shim Hwa-jin, 53, received a special award at "The Night of the Ballerina 2009" event organized by the Korea Ballet Association at the Grand Hyatt Seoul, Monday.
The award is in recognition of her role in developing domestic ballet and its population, the association said.
"She has made steady contributions to the development of Korean ballet and broadening its scope by providing an elite education to talented ballerinas," it said.
