Choo Sung-hoon Holds Wedding Ceremony
Korean-Japanese fighter Choo Sung-hoon and his wife Shiho Yano, a Japanese model, held a belated wedding ceremony Sunday in a hotel in Tokyo, about seven months after they registered for marriage, his agency IB Sports said.
Choo, 35, better known as Akiyama Yoshihiro in Japan, wanted to keep the wedding ceremony secret, inviting only family members and a limited number of colleagues, it said.
After the marriage, his wife posted a note on her blog (shihomagazine.com). "I made the best memory today, which was also my father's birthday,"it read.
Shiho, 33, a popular model and TV personality in Japan, posted a number of wedding pictures on the Web site.
Choo will leave for the United States, Tuesday, to train until early December for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 111.
