Nuclear Expert Named in World’s Top 100 Scientists
A Korean nuclear power researcher has been selected as one of world's top 100 scientists by the International Biographical Center (IBC), the most acclaimed European personal information directory.
Kim Hong-suk, a research fellow at the Korean Institute of Nuclear Safety (KINS), was placed on IBC's 2009 Outstanding Scientists of the 21st Country list, the state-run institute said Wednesday.
Earlier this year, Kim was also listed in three other IBC directories ― Top Educators 2009, 2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century and the 21st Century Award for Achievement. He is also included in this year's Marquis Who's Who directory edition.
The 40-year-old radiation-protection expert was recognized for his excellent achievements in academic publishing, lectures at the International Atomic Energy Agency and technical advice, KINS said.
