Chang Jae-ku, chairman of the Hankook Ilbo and The Korea Times Group and an avid photographer, has published a collection of photographs titled ``Jaeku Chang 75 Photographs.''
Chang got his first camera on his 15th birthday as a present from his father, Chang Key-young, the founder of the Hankook Ilbo. ``I remember taking photos all day long that day,'' Chang says in the prologue of the book. Ever since the special birthday, he has taken innumerable pictures ``in the mountains, cities, countryside, on the plane, through day and night.''
The collection, consists of just 75 selected from thousands of his works, starts with a snow-covered mountains scene in the Himalayas. Chang's camera captures various features of Langtang Himal and K2. This book travels the world from a simple hearted farming woman in Shigatse, Tibet to a Tamang woman living in Khumbu Himal, Nepal. Scenic photos of the United States, Japan, Cambodia and India among other countries are included as well. Some photos show the beauty of Seoul. At the end of the book, Chang comments on each photo.
