Ssireum is now UNESCO heritage
Two Korean traditional wrestlers compete during the 2017 Korea Open Ssireum Festival in Naju, South Jeolla Province, in November last year. Ssireum, the nation's traditional wrestling sport, became a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, Monday, after North and South Korea's joint bid as part of their reconciliation efforts was accepted.
