The feng shui way about each part of the house has changed with the times. In the past, that of the kitchen had been considered as one of the most significant, which is getting less emphasis owing to the changes in people’s lifestyles – people are eating out more frequently than before. Meanwhile, that of personal room and living room has been magnified for the changed social ambience.

Regardless of a transition in people’s conception, there is a spot in the house that has been consistently regarded highly, which is the front door. It is where the life qi comes in, where many opportunity and possibility are generated and accordingly it determines the influx of wealth.

The main entrance allows the qi to enter your house therefore if it is not arranged properly, you can’t let the qi in however fluent energy there is. It is like a face of a person and dominates the overall atmosphere of a house just like the first impression of a person. It can either collect or disperse the energy subject to its condition.

Then how can you make best feng shui of the front door? Unquestioningly, it must be clean and bright. The cluttered and dark front door area generates poisonous energy, which will circulate throughout the house. You should change any light bulbs if they are out of order. Brightening the entrance is a crucial cure to improve your life.

The second but the most frequently asked installation is a mirror. It gratifies not only practical purposes but also feng shui remedies. For example, a mirror is an effective means to defend your house against harmful energy from surroundings. When the mirrors are positioned at the exterior of the house, it implies that the dwellers do not allow any negative energy to influence their life. Those offensive forces are actually reflected back toward outside. By the way, a large mirror, placed just in front of the entrance pushes back the energy both negative and positive ones. If you want to welcome the life qi so it nourishes your home, you should remove the large mirror, or put something to cover the part of it. The point is to select the right mirrors in the right position. Once it is well located, you should clean it regularly so that it can cast a clear image of yourself.

Since the front door is often compared to the mouth of qi, we should welcome and allow it to move around your house. Plants are good feng shui objects to inspire the qi as they boost promotion and success. Artificial flowers or dolls, on the other hand, are not recommended.

Another appealing ornament to exhilarate the life qi is a wind chime hanging at the door by producing clear and pure tones. Sound is one of the effective remedies to animate the atmosphere.

Last but not least, clutter may easily muster destructive qi. On top of usual cleaning the floor and walls, you should brush the soil off shoes and put them inside the shoe closet neatly. Other than the shoes, sharp edged items, such as umbrellas or unorganized racks, also taint the qi. The more favorable location of those miscellaneous commodities is out of your main entrance or you should prepare a separate closet to store them.

Make your front door the most pleasant and vibrant place. It needs to be easy to find and must be used regularly. It is an important place to allow life qi and abundance to come through, circulate and nourish your home.
