(135) Death of the most wanted terrorist read by saju

Various news reports related to Osama bin Laden are pouring in after his death was announced this week. Most importantly, the specifics about how he was killed, whether he was armed or not, whether and how he resisted, and issues regarding his family, especially his wife who was with bin Laden until his last minutes are continuously reported, sometimes updated or rectified.

This was even notified to my cell phone by text messages in real time, saying that the United States killed Osama bin Laden. And the next messages came in asking, what his birthday is and how about his saju and so on.

This was the world’s most wanted terrorist, and he has been chased by U.S. forces since the devastating September 11 terrorist attacks in 2001. He is now arousing different kinds of attention after his death. Bin Laden is still the source of prompting fear of reprisals by existing terrorist groups. And it was indeed reported that a threat was delivered about bombs being planted at a company’s headquarters and some Arabic embassies in Seoul.

It may be interesting to read his saju.

At first glance, we can see that his day master is yin metal, which has been described many times as an impression of a sword or gun. And it is coincident that many dictators have this yin metal day master in their saju. In comparison, Moammar Gaddafi is also yin metal day master.

The yin metal, sitting on the fire (career star) suggests that he is pursuing the power, though it is not as strong as Gaddafi’s. Gaddafi has three fire elements between a stem and branches. The yin water stem (expression star) next to the day master just makes the word rusty.

Then another aspect to draw our attention is the clash between bin Laden’s year and month branch. It is a clash between his money star (the wood element) and a friend star (the metal element). The money star can also be explained as a consequence of what he does and a wife. The clash between money and friend star indicates some distorted results of his deed and his followers’. This clash is generated because the metal (himself) chops the wood (consequences). However it doesn’t mean an absolute vanishing of wood because of the power balance between the year and the month branch. The month is the strongest among all so the wood month branch was able to survive despite the metal year branch’s constraint.

On top of the existing clash in his saju, the fact that impacted his death is the additional clash followed by the wood of the year 2011. The existing clash was stimulated by the coming year’s wood energy and they broke the power balance among the branches. It is the metal year branch (himself) that is damaged most seriously by this additional clash.

Though it is cliché to always infer certain accidents such as death, disease or divorce from the clashes, in saju, we have to consider how serious the impact is when one is clashed by the coming year’s energy on top of another.

We have to reckon which element gets hurt the most and read the subsequent event tantamount to the element, whether it’s oneself or other relationships.
