(125) Saju of Egypts Hosni Mubarak

We will have to start with the statement that saju does not involve any ethical judgments. Saju views one’s life through a very personal and subjective window of fate. Whether one lives virtuously or not is not judged by saju, although saju may tell how one’s life unfolds.
Accordingly, reviewing the lives of international figures by their birth dates should not be connected to any moral criticism, as saju masters try not to be judgmental about their individual lives.
Although saju is not prejudiced against any social conventions, it can see why people have ploughed their life in a certain way.
We often read the saju of those who are denounced for their behavior by the public.
Let’s review the saju of Hosni Mubarak, who recently was forced to step down as the fourth president of Egypt, a position he held since 1981. He recently came under the international spotlight again for a series of mass protests held against his dictatorial regime.
He was born with the energy of yang wood, and all of the signs in his pillars are yang energies _ except for his time pillar, which we do not know. Yang wood people act as they desire. They strive to succeed. They are competitive and have a will to grow further as trees and arrows. Yang energy shows extroversion and expresses it more strongly than yin does.
Looking at the four pillars of this saju, we may find lots of money stars. So, starting from the day master, wood, the energy flows from wood to fire, then fire to earth. This saju cycle is often seen in businessman, as opposed to politicians, because it relates with those who pursue wealth.
The career star, meanwhile, represents power and leadership. Sometimes, the knowledge star, which stands for respect, is seen as a main energy flow. It was seen in the saju of the Great King Sejong, Admiral Yi Sun-shin and Lula, the former President of Brazil. The power of the career star, if it is well positioned in one’s saju, may shed a great energy of charisma and once it is rightly utilized, will earn the people’s admiration.
Because Mubarak did not have a career star (metal) in his saju, we must also look at the fortune cycle, which changes every 10 years. He acquired a career star when he was 31, and it lasted for 20 years. After this, his water energy-knowledge star came to power, which suggests the respect of the people. However, at 81, the water energy’s influence faded and instead more of the money star, earth, was added.
Based on this flow analysis, it seems like he focused on power since the age of 31 (1951), which could’ve lasted for almost 50 years, owing to the continued support of the water energy. However, now that he has turned 83, there seems to be no more metal (power) or water (respect) to support it. Adding more earth energy may have caused fiscal problems, which explains the corruption within his regime related to money.
In comparison, I want to quickly review the saju of Wael Said Ghonim, who is an Internet activist and the Head of Marketing of Google for the Middle East and North Africa. He also became an international figure and Egyptian protest hero after an emotional interview following his treatment during the recent protests.
Ghonim was born with the yang metal energy. Yang metal is greatly recognized by its firmness, faith and decisiveness. Like Mubarak, he also had only yang energies in his saju. The first impression we gain from his saju is the conflict between fire and water energy. They denote the career star (power) and expression star, respectively.
Regardless of the public judgment, saju still shows how, why and when their lives and sufferings unfold.
