(65) Branch Interaction: Saju of Nicole Kidman

By Janet Shin

Last week, we discussed the saju of American superstar Tom Cruise. This week, we will focus on the saju of Australian actress Nicole Kidman.

Kidman was born June 20, 1967, with her four pillars as shown below.

In 1995 (year of eul-yu), Kidman's role in the film "To Die For," garnered critical acclaim and won her five Best Actress awards, including a Golden Globe.

In 1999 (year of gi-myo), Kidman and Cruise (who were married at the time), portrayed a married couple in Stanley Kubrick's final film, "Eyes Wide Shut."

In 2002 (year of im-o), Kidman received an Academy Award nomination for the musical film "Moulin Rouge." She received her second Golden Globe Award for the role.

Kidman was listed as the 45th Most Powerful Celebrity on the 2005 Forbes Celebrity 100 list. (2005 was the year of eul-yu).

In 2006 (year of byeong-sul), Kidman was made a Companion of the Order of Australia, Australia's highest civilian honor.

Kidman has been married twice, first to Cruise, whom she met while filming "Days of Thunder." They married in 1990 (year of gyeong-o), and divorced in 2001 (year of sin-sa).

Kidman met her second husband, country singer Keith Urban, between 2004 and 2005 (year of gap-sin and eul-yu, respectively). The couple had their first child in 2007 (year of jeong-hae)

The Australian actress was born with the energy of beautiful flower in the month of sunshine (o-fire). This is the season when flowers are at their most beautiful. It has stable soil (mi-earth) for the flower to take root in, along with the myo wood of its friend star. We can see the brightness and beauty of the flower but it lacks water energy.

Now let's look at some specifics of her saju.

The month she was born in is her expression star. Given the byeong and jeong stem energies, it is needless to say how talented she is.

They also tells us she is a charitable person who tries to help others.

Born in the fire month, the eul flower may show its splendid beauty, but the fact that it lacks water and metal energy tells us something is lacking in her life. Specifically, she could use water energy. Not having a career star (metal ― husband) doesn't mean she does not have a husband. She would have met and dated during the years of metal energy.

She met Cruise in the gyeong-o year (gyeong is metal).

In the gap-sin and eul-yu years, she met Keith Urban. (sin and yu are also metal).

The ja-o clash from 2009 shouldn't have a bad impact on her life. On the contrary, she welcomes water energy years. We can see that she achieved more during the years of im, gye, and ja.

In this saju, there is an azimuth trine of sin-yu-sul and a six combination of sa-sin. According to its power rank, the azimuth trine is prior to the six combination, so the sa-sin combination is not active.

The month branch yu is to combine with jin in both the year and day branches. In this case, yu cannot combine with any jin completely.

This case has an in-oh-sul fire assembly trine and a myo-in half azimuth trine. And when it meets jin in the coming year, it will make an in-myo-jin azimuth wood trine and resolve the existing assembly trine. However, after the year jin end, they will form an in-oh-sul fire assembly trine again.

In first saju shown above, we can see an in-hae combination and a half trine in-o (missing sul). As the six combination exceeds the half trine in its power, the in-hae combination is effective. However if there is byeong in the stem, as in the second saju, a celestial inducing force is created, so instead of an in-hae combination, the in-o-sul fire trine is effective.

Understanding this mechanism is very important as it will help you discover what is important in one's life and when it becomes active.
