Pianist Cho Seong-jin's recital in Korea will be livestreamed for the first time as an encore to his recent Korean tour.

The encore recital of the star pianist, 26, first prize winner of the 2015 Chopin International Competition, will be held at Seoul Arts Center at 5 p.m. on Saturday. He will play Schumann's Humoreske Op. 20, Szymanowski's Masques Op. 34 and Liszt's Piano Sonata in b minor.

The performance, the last on his Korean tour, will be streamed online as well, but audiences need to buy a ticket from Naver TV's Credia channel for 10,000 won ($9).

Cho's Korean tour was his first in two years and eight months, which led to many recitals being sold out within a few minutes, according to the organizer. Over the last two months, he has performed in Gwangju, Daegu, Busan, Changwon, Seoul, Chuncheon, Seongnam, Suwon, Gyeongju, Daejeon and Yeosu.

The organizer said it was decided to hold the additional online concert to respond to demand.

The upcoming encore performance will feature the same repertoire he played in the Nov. 4 recital at the Seoul Arts Center.

Credia has already livestreamed performances by Richard Yongjae O'Neill and Son Yeol-eum & Clara-Jumi Kang as part of efforts to provide various online cultural content amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
