‘Vivaldianno: City of Mirrors'

For the first time in Asia, "Vivaldianno: City of Mirrors" will be performed by its original cast at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts.

"Vivaldianno: City of Mirrors" is a 3D concert based on baroque composer Antonio Vivaldi's music. The show combines large-scale 3D media art with a superb rendition of Vivaldi's music by leading musicians from the Czech Republic. It also features the life, inspiration, and agony of Vivaldi as a composer.

‘Tosca'

May 12 to 14

Puccini's opera "Tosca" will be performed by Muak Opera from May 12 to 14 at Seoul Arts Center.

"Tosca" is known as one of the greatest opera pieces, written by the Italian composer.

In 1800 Rome, Cavaradossi, a painter, is sentenced to death for hiding his friend who is accused of a political crime. To save Cavaradossi, his lover Tosca begs the chief of police, Scarpia, who lusts after her. Scarpia proposes a bargain, saying if Tosca yields herself to him, he will set Cavaradossi free. After accepting his bargain, Tosca kills Scarpia and goes to Cavaradossi, who is executed despite Scarpia's promise. Full of grief, Tosca kills herself.

G-Dragon will have a solo concert at Seoul World Cup Stadium on June 10.

As a rapper, singer-songwriter, record producer, and leader of Korea's top boy band Big Bang, G-Dragon has captured global attention and become one of the most popular celebrities of South Korea. In 2009, he released his first solo album, "Heartbreaker," followed by "One of a Kind" (2012) and "Coup D'Etat" (2013). He composed most of Big Bang's and his own songs, and 22 of them topped the Korean charts. In this concert, he will perform his hit songs as well as new songs that are expected to be released before early June.

‘Pitbull Live in Seoul'

American rapper Pitbull will have his first concert in Korea at Olympic Hall on May 18.

Pitbull started his career as a mainstream rapper in 2001, collaborating with rapper and producer Lil Jon and participating in his 2002 studio album "Kings of Crunk." Pitbull's debut album, "M.I.A.M.I", was released in 2004. Since then, he released numerous hit songs including "Timber," which topped numerous music charts around the world, and "We Are One (Ole Ola)", the official theme song of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

‘Oh! Carol'

The musical "Oh! Carol" will be staged at the D-Cube Arts Center from Feb 28 to May 7.

"Oh! Carol" tells a story of six people who meet at a resort in Florida. Marge is a smart but unlucky girl, who is abandoned by her fiance on her wedding day. She visits the resort with her best friend, Lois, who tries to help her find a new love. Del is an attractive singer who aspires to become a star, and Gabe is a worker at the resort who has amazing artistic talent but lacks confidence. The four begin to form a heartwarming love story.

‘Our Bad Magnet'

A play written by Scottish author Douglas Maxwell, "Our Bad Magnet," will be staged at Daehak-ro Art One Theater from March 5 to May 28

In a small Scottish town, four boys at the age of 9 become friends with each other. One of them, Gordon, is always quiet and depressed. When the boys turn 19, Gordon kills himself after having a conflict with the other three. Ten years later, the three boys reunite and trace back their childhood memories and secrets.

Actor Moon Tae-yu, Song Kwang-il, and Oh Seung-hun play Gordon.

‘Two Nights Three Days with Mom’

In celebration of its 10th anniversary, the play “Two Nights Three Days with Mom” will be staged at the Seoul Arts Center from May 19 to 28.

Having a busy life, Mi-yeong finds it hard to spend time with her mother. One day, she visits her mother’s house and stays there for two nights and three days, during which they express their regret, love and gratitude to each other. However, on the last day of her visit, Mi-yeong tells her mother a tragic secret.

Actor Kang Bu-ja plays the mother, and Jeon Mi-sun plays Mi-yeong.

‘Jekyll and Hyde'

The Broadway cast of the musical "Jekyll and Hyde" will visit Korea as part of their world tour and perform at Blue Square from March 8 to May 21.

A talented doctor and scientist, Henry Jekyll works on separating the human soul from the body. For his experiments, he uses himself as a human guinea pig. As a result, he creates his other self, Hyde, who is full of evil. Hyde gradually takes control of Jekyll, and starts killing people who stood in his way.

‘The Bridges of Madison County'

"The Bridges of Madison County," a musical based on Robert James Waller's best-selling novel of the same name, will be staged at Chungmu Arts Center until June 18.

In Madison County, Iowa, lives an Italian-American woman, Francesca. She is married to a farmer and has two children, but feels lonely. One day, a photographer, Robert, visits her town to take pictures of the bridges in the area. As Francesca guides him to the bridges, they get irresistibly attracted to each other.

Actor Ok Joo-hyun plays Francesca, and Park Eun-tae plays Robert.

Aspiring to stardom, three African-American girls _ Deena, Lorrell, and Effie _ form a girl group, the Dreamettes. With the help of their ambitious manager, Curtis, the Dreamettes become backup singers of James Thunder Early, a famous R&B singer. While the Dreamettes gradually gain public attention, Curtis comes up with another plan that could bring huge trouble to the group.

His representative work, "Atomos," was created in collaboration with a team of sensational artists from diverse fields, integrating dance, music, philosophy and cutting-edge technology.
