Berlin Philharmonic Ensemble

The Berlin Philharmonic Ensemble will perform at the Seoul Arts Center on Nov. 26, during which they will play the works of J. S. Bach, W. A. Mozart, J. Halvorsen and J. Brahms.

Founded in 1999, the Berlin Phil Ensemble has been invited to perform at major festivals and concerts in Europe. They are well-known for their interpretations of instruments and wide range of chamber music repertoires. Their upcoming performance will feature pianist Park Jong-hoon as a special guest. Park will play J. Brahms Quartet for Pianoforte string with the ensemble.

‘Tchaikovsky's Winter Dream'

Dec. 3

KBS Symphony and the pianist Son Yeoleum will perform with the conductor Yoel Levi at the Seoul Arts Center, Dec. 3, during which they will play the three works of P.I. Tchaikovsky.

Established in 1956, the KBS Symphony became the representative of Korean classic music performance. Son Yeoleum won the first prize in multiple piano competitions.

‘2015 The Little Singers of Paris'

Sejong Center for Performing Arts

The Little Singers of Paris will perform on Dec. 13 at the Sejong Center for Performing Arts. The Little Singers of Paris is the only boy acapella choir in the world. Including "Nella Fantasia", they will perform Christmas carols and folk songs around the world.

Kim Kyung-ho is holding a concert at the Olympic Park on Nov. 31.

Debuting in 1994, Kim is one of the Korea's legendary male rock vocalists. He has many hits, such as "Forbidden Love," "My Love in Heaven," "Wine" and "Habit".

Shin Seung-hun

Kyunghee University Peace Amphitheater

Shin Seung-hun will perform at the Kyunghee University Peace Amphitheater on Dec. 4-6.

Debuting in 1991, Shin is a male ballad vocalist who represents the Korean music scene. He appeared on various OST albums, such as A Thousand Days' Promise, Iris and I Can Hear Your Voice. He also appeared on the Voice of Korea, a survival music program that discovers hidden singers, as a judge.

Dec. 12

Cho Yong-pil is holding a concert at the Olympic Park on Dec. 12.

Debuting in 1979, Cho is one of Korea's legendary male vocalists. His first album was the first in Korea to sell more than a million copies. His hits, such as "Short Hair," "Let's Go Travel" and "Mona Lisa," have been covered by other singers. He released his 19th album, "Hello," in 2013 and the album's title song, "Bounce," was beloved by the public.

The casts of the UnprettyRapstar 2will perform at the Olympic Park on Nov. 28.

UnprettyRapstar 2 is a TV survival program that female rappers compete on to produce an album that will be released after the program. The members of UnprettyRapstar 2 comprised of both indie rappers, such as Kitti B, Truedy, and Heize, to members of Korean girl bands, such as Yezi, Yubin and Hyolyn.

Kiha&The Faces will perform a year-end concert on Dec. 12-13 at Blue Square Samsung Card Hall.

Kiha&The Faces is an all-male group comprised of six members, including one Japanese member. Debuting in 2008 with the song "Cheap Coffee," the band has released three albums. Winner of a prize by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Kiha&The Faces is widely known for its unique style.

g.o.d will perform concerts from Dec. 16 to 20 at the Olympic Park.

Debuting in 1999, g.o.d gained popularity in the early 2000s widely from teenagers and younger audiences. After the release of the band’s seventh album in 2005, the group took a break for more than a decade. They returned last year with the song “The Story of Our Lives.”

The musical "MuhanDongryeok" will be performed through Jan. 1, 2016 at Daehangno TOM Theatre 1.

The story is about young and discouraged 20 year olds, such as Jang Seon-jae who keeps failing to get a job, Kim Sol who has only maintained her living with part-time jobs over four years, and Jin Ki-han who pretends to prepare for the civil servant bar exam but in reality is addicted to computer games.

They live in a common rent house, and get close together. The musical is a remake version of the web cartoon "MuhanDongryeok" by Joo Ho-min. The theater is located near exit 1 ofHyehwa Station, subway line 4.

‘Chicago, the Musical’

“Chicago, the Musical” will be performed through Feb. 6, 2016, at the D Cube Art Center.

The musical has been performed in more than 34 countries. Staged for 19 years, it became the second longest running performance on Broadway in 2014. Famous Korean stars IVY, Cho Jeong-won, Lee Jong-hyeok and Sung Gi-yun will be part of the cast.

The National Museum of Korea

‘A Clockwork Orange’

Based on the novel of the same title by Anthony Burgess, “A Clockwork Orange” will be performed on Dec. 5 and 6 at Dongsoong Arts Center.

The main topic of “A Clock Work Orange” is the dehumanization of individual citizens by a government. Kim Nam-shik is a contemporary dance choreographer and reinterprets the story in his distinctive style. Contemporary dance, fine arts, literature and music will be combined in the performance.
