Enjoy Romantic Evening Valentines Day Concerts

The season of love is here and local singers are preparing special Valentine's Day concerts.

Two actors and a movie soundtrack composer will join musical act ``The Most'' performance at a special Valentine's Day concert dubbed ``Love Story of Valentine.''

Actress Guk Ji-yeon, who currently appears in the hit drama ``Boys Over Flowers,'' and actor Lee Dong-kyu will, show their musical sides with music director Lee Dong-jun, who worked on soundtracks for the movies ``Swiri,'' ``Wild Kid'' and various dramas and plays.

With love songs from hit movies like ``Cinema Paradiso,'' ``Life is Beautiful,'' ``Breakfast at Tiffany's'' and ``Scent of a Woman'' performed by ``The Most,'' visitors will get to enjoy a romantic evening with the two Lees and Guk.

``The Most'' consists of leader guitarist Bae Jang-heum, who currently performs here and in Japan and Russia, and six other musicians known for their versatility in performing music ranging from classical, new age, world and pop with a twist of their own.

Releasing its first single in June last year, the group has been appearing in numerous music festivals, concerts and shows and gained recognition as one of the most talented groups here. The Most is expected to release its first album soon.

``Love Story of Valentine'' will be held at the LIG Art Hall Feb. 14. All tickets cost 25,000 won. For more information, visit www.ticketlink.co.kr.

Pianist Roh Young-shim, Isao Sasaki and Chong Park will get together for a romantic evening of piano tunes. Roh, who is also a vocalist, will embrace the stage with fellow pianists Sasaki and Park and offer fans a memorable experience of three pianos playing love songs, classical, new age and jazz numbers together. Roh, who made her debut as a singer-songwriter in 1989, has also been a pianist, vocalist and composer. Working on various films and dramas, she is known for her trademark emotional and sensitive music.

Sasaki, one of Korea's favorite new age pianists from Japan, will also offer his delicate tunes. Gaining recognition from Korean fans in the late 1990s, Sasaki has been holding numerous concerts year after year. This time, he will join Roh and fellow pianist Park, the winner of international piano competition Sanremo Classico in Italy in 2000, to offer a romantic night. As a special guest, crossover tenor and musical star Im Tae-kyung will appear as Mr. Valentine and present his songs with the three talented pianists.

Television host Kim Je-dong is also bringing his ``Love Concert.'' Unlike other concerts focused on couples this season, Kim and the Goyang City Choir are preparing a thrilling performance friends and family can enjoy. The troupe is offering the highlights of famous musicals, including ``Rent,'' ``Chicago,'' ``Mamma Mia!'' and ``West Side Story,'' with colorful costumes and settings, powerful musical numbers and dance performances. The ``Love Concert'' will be held at the Goyang Aram Nuri Arts Center Feb 11-12. Tickets cost from 10,000 won to 80,000 won.
