Korean celebrities and their furry friends have come together in front of the camera for a special photo exhibition called ``Fashion Pet.''

Top fashion magazine Vogue Korea is holding the photo exhibition to celebrate its 12th anniversary and also bring awareness to pet lovers and those who are looking for a pet.

``This will be a good chance for the public, especially children, to realize that pets are not just toys but living creatures and friends. With top Korean celebrities participating, the exhibition will be meaningful for the stars themselves and also visitors,'' Choi Byeong-kwan, the manager of the publicity group for Vogue Korea, told The Korea Times.

A total of 100 well-known actors, singers, fashion models and designers have joined the event and many of them will appear at the pre-party that will be held July 21.

Actress Kong Hyo-jin appeared with makeup making her resemble her pet poodle in her photo, while singer Lee Hyo-ri looked glamorous wearing a long dress and holding her cat.

Other celebrities include actress Kim Jung-eun, Seo In-young from pop group Jewelry, actor Cho Seung-woo, pop groups Super Junior, TVXQ, SHINee and model Eon. The photos were taken by prominent photographers including Koo Bon-chang, Zo Sun-hi, Cho Sei-hon and Hong Jang-hyun.

``Abandoned pets have become a social problem with more families deciding not to keep them anymore. We hope people will be able to realize the importance of life through these heartwarming and delightful photos,'' said Lee Myung-hee, the editor of Vogue Korea through a press release.

At the exhibition, visitors can also find a ``pet shop'' where they can buy bags, t-shirts and other accessories exclusively made by designer Kim Jae-hyun. Kim is currently the designer for famed brands MCM, Louis Quartoze and Tomboy. The proceeds will be donated to a veterinarians' association.

The ``Fashion Pet'' exhibition will be held at Gallery Won located at Cheongdam-dong July 22-26. Admission is free. For more information call (02) 514-3439.
