Miss Korea Choi Bo-in is drawing netizens' attention as the popularity vote in the 58th Miss World Competition has begun. The competition will take place Dec. 13 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Starting from this year, the People's Choice Award will be added to the former five areas ― swimsuit, sports woman, top model, top talent and volunteer - and the winner will be chosen through an online vote. The winner will go on to participate in the top 15. Netizens can vote free on the newly renovated Web site www.missworld.com.

Choi, who has been on a camp training since Nov 16 with 111 participants from all over the world, said in a phone interview, ``I am trying my best to promote the beauty of Korea among all these global beauties,'' and asked for the support of many netizens.

A junior majoring in International Studies at Ewha Womans University, she speaks English, Chinese and Japanese fluently. With her particular congeniality, she is becoming a strong candidate for the Popularity Award.
