Kim held talks with Qatari Energy Minister Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi in Seoul to discuss cooperation in a wide range of areas, including liquefied natural gas (LNG) and artificial intelligence (AI).
"Qatar is the second-largest supplier of LNG to South Korea, and our country has secured the highest volume of LNG carrier orders from Qatar," Kim said in a release. "We hope to expand our cooperative relationship with Qatar in various areas, not only in energy but also in the AI sector."
The Qatari official expressed hope for deepening energy cooperation, acknowledging South Korean companies' contribution to the Middle Eastern nation's infrastructure, according to the prime minister's office.
