The foreign ministry said Tuesday it is lowering the travel alert for parts of Israel, excluding the Gaza Strip, in what appears to reflect the regional situation following the ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Hamas group.

The Level 3 advisory, calling for departure from the country, will be revised down to the Level 2 alert that calls for people to refrain from visiting the region.

The Level 4 travel ban for the Gaza Strip and the border regions near Lebanon, and the Level 3 alert for the West Bank and some northern regions will remain in place, the ministry said. (Yonhap)
